The KSA Educational and Charitable Trust was formed in 2008 with the intention of helping the under privileged students from the coastal belt of Cuddalore district, where there is lack of availability of quality institution for maritime related studies, while the majority of the people in this belt depends for their main lively hood on sea related industries.
The trust is headed by the Mr. K.S Alagri, BA. In 2010 the trust has established a Maritime college in 1069, Thirupaninatham, Keerapalayam, Chidambaram and running Diploma in Nautical Science course successfully.
We aim at excellence in maritime training and endeavor to become the best collage in India in training Marine CADETS

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a Central University, that was established by Associate in Nursing Act of the Indian Parliament specifically the Indian Maritime University Act 2008, on ordinal Gregorian calendar month 2008. it's the sole university within the country, dedicated to conveyance quality education within the maritime field. it's Associate in Nursing All- Bharat jurisdiction and also the head quarters is found at city. it's campuses at city, Kolkata, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, fowl and Kandla Port.

The birth of IMU may be a long cherished dream of the maritime community of Bharat. It plays an outsized and key role within the development of trained human resource for the whole maritime sector. MASSA MARITIME ACADEMY



ABOUT:
The Maritime Association of Shipowners Shipmanagers and Agents (MASSA) is a non-profit making body of Shipowners, Shipmanagers and their Agents, registered as a Section 25 company, under the Companies Act, 1956 and based in Mumbai. Members include companies which have a long association with Indian Manning and are identified as traditional employers of Indian Officers and Ratings.
MASSA is an independent organization which enjoys an excellent rapport and working relationship with the Government of India Ministry of Shipping & Director General of Shipping, Indian Shipowners and allied shipping interests, the National Union of Seafarers of India, Forward Seamens Union of India and the Maritime Union of India. MASSA is represented in various statutory bodies in the Shipping industry.
MASSA has formed a Trust in 1994 named Maritime Training and Research Foundation (MTRF) which has been setup by MASSA Members to receive employers donation and utilize the same towards building infrastructure and for the Mariner to enhance their carrier in the Shipping Industry.
MTRF has two Institutes namely MASSA Maritime Academy (MMA) at C.B.D. Belapur, Navi Mumbai, and MASSA Maritime Academy (MMA) at Chennai.

Maritime Foundation is approved by Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India and strictly follows the guidelines as laid down by the regulating bodies. The courses are in compliance with the provisions of Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Convention as adopted by International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
